ISO 9001:2000
Azalea Maritime has established and documented the quality management system which is maintained and improved in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard EN ISO 9001:2000. On completion of external audit by certification body BvQi the Company has been found to conform to standard ISO 9001:2000, valid for following activities: “STCW’95 Maritime Training and Manning Services for Shipping Industry”. UKAS and RvA accreditations received.
Specialized Tanker Training
Azalea Maritime Training Centre in co-operation with MOL Tokyo instructors developed Specialized Tanker Training Programme.

Ship Security Officer training
Training courses under construction (expected to be available by mid/end September 2003):
1. ISPS Code - Crew familiarization training - this one-day course will provide crew with the tools necessary to carry out assigned duties under the International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) Code. Shipboard personnel will understand the approaches to interpreting and implementing measures that will help lead to maritime security compliance.
2. ISPS Code - Ship security officer (SSO) - this three-day training course will provide ship security officers with the training necessary to meet their obligation under the International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) Code. Adopting practical approaches to interpreting and implementing measures will help ensure compliance with maritime security requirements. The course is compliant with current IMO requirements.
New Building - VLCC
Two new buildings, VLCC tankers m/t "Iwatesan" and m/t "Persues Trader" enter pool of Azalea Maritime Group manned vessels.
Cadets Training
New generations of Montenegro cadets completed MOL pre-joining training programme. 25 future seamans were selected during inteview held by MOL Tankship London representative. Training was conducted in Azalea Maritime Training Centre Bijela. Candidate were trainined by present and ex MOL officers. Various subject of training, such as basic seamanship, safety of life at sea, basic fire-fighting, nautical and engineering subject were part of this two months training programme.
