Description:

The course takes full account of the new amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), which introduced a new chapter (chapter IX) into the Convention.

The ISM Code familiarization course is designed for the seafarers who have to ensure safety at sea, prevention of human injury or loss of life, and avoidance of damage to the environment; in particular to the marine environment and to property.

The course aims to provide the participants with clear understanding od safety-management system and enables them to:

-         Comply with mandatory rules and regulations; and

-         Take into account applicable codes, guidelines and standards recommended by the Organization, Administrations, classification societies and maritime industry organizations.
