Description:
The course provide training in the role of the Safety Officer. The requirements are set out in the STCW Code as well as in the Code of Safe Working Practice for Merchant Seaman and MS regulation SI 1997/296. Methods of risk assessment, audit and accident reporting are covered. The delegate's understanding and performance is assessed throughout the course.
