The Azalea Maritime Training Centre offers different courses to suit the needs of the personnel onboard modern vessels fitted with equipment of the latest technology. In a constant change of technological environment and legislation, with the implementation of various innovations, the training of future sea-going personnel for the shipping industry is essential in ensuring safety and efficiency of crews and vessels, and the preservation of cargoes and the environment.

Azalea Maritime Training Centre's range of courses gives the participants a close to real life experience through the use of simulators, computer-based training (CBT) and hands-on training. This kind of training guides the trainees through the process of developing personal skills related to safety, working environment and casualty prevention. Participants are assessed and trained individually in personal skills covering teamwork, communication, leadership, coping with stress, and situational awareness. The entire training programme has been developed in close cooperation with the shipping industry, with the focus on the future demands related to the practical training designed to meet the requirements of the IMO and STCW.
