This lifeboat is suitable for installation aboard all vessels type when stowed in appropriate davits of approved type.

The davit is manufactured and test under the approval of Classification Society – NK in compliance with the regulation of 1983 & 1996 Amendments to SOLAS, 1974. The inspection and tests of davit appliances are in accordance with the MSC.81 (70).

The davit is a hinged type and it lowers the boat by the help of its own weight (gravity davit). The davit is designed for boarding the boat in stowed position. The boat is turned out and lowered by means of remote control from inside of the boat via wire connection to the brake arm. Alternatively brake can be operated from the deck.

A permanently mounted motor on the winch is used for hoisting the lifeboat with 2 persons and for hoisting the life/rescue boat with 6 persons back to stowed position.

For purpose of realistic training lifeboat platform was constructed with following dimension: 

  • Embarkation deck area - 84m2
  • Deck height above the water - 5.5m
  • Lifeboat height above the water - 7.5m
  • Davit top height above water - 11.0m

Training site is also equipped with:

  • Inflatable Liferafts with hydrostatic release unit - 20 persons capacity.
  • Liferaft Davit crane
  • Two dummy Liferafts with hydrostatic release unit – 20 and 6 persons capacity.
  • Dressing room for training participants
  • Showers and toilets
  • Storage locker for immersion suits, lifejackets and other equipment
